History of the JDC Invitational

The JDC Invitational is a golf outing that raises funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Organized by employees of C.H. Robinson, the goal of the outing is to raise funds for the Light the Night campaign (www.lightthenight.org). 100% of the proceeds benefit the Society. The outing began as a friendly golf tournament. Already a supporter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in 2006 the Madison Branch of C.H. Robinson decided to use the day to raise funds for LLS after multiple employees had family members diagnosed with types of blood cancer.

Each year, C.H. Robinson is one of the largest Light the Night supporters, raising over $75,000 in the short history of the annual event. Today the group of players consists of C.H. Robinson employees, customers, carriers and friends and family dedicated to supporting the cause. Receiving no federal funds and relying solely on donations, the Society directs more than 75% of the funds raised to Patient Services and Research.
